The photos? I wasn't really into the graduation thing. These guys offered to fill in for me for the obligatory photo. It may be the only photo I have from Upper Dublin. The now photo? Well, still trying to fight the power, just don't get the clenched fist up like I used to. |

I can't believe it's been 35 years! I moved to California after graduating from Penn State. Didn't take to the West Coast at first, but then it grew on me. I've always been entrepreneurial so l've owned my graphic design business since I was 22. I'm married (20 years) and have 2 great kids - Ryan, 19 and Katelyn, 16. They are a joy - smart and athletic - not from their mom's side for sure. I love hearing what people are doing.

As everyone else has said, thanks to those who have worked long hours putting together this website, and the reunion. It has already helped me get in touch with many "long lost friends".
I have lived in Canada now for 7 years, and love it. We live in a little town called Fergus, with a lot of farms around us. We have beautiful sunsets to watch out our front door, and a beautiful home to relax in when the weather is bad, which it was a lot last winter. My husband, Keith and I have 6 remarkable children between us, who range in age from 16-34. We have only 1 perfect grandaughter, Tatum who is 12,and a new grandson Seth who is the cutest baby around. I have been a "jack of all trades", even owning a couple of my own businesses. I have also volunteered my time to a number of different organizations, the most being with the RED CROSS. I was in NY after 9/11 for 3 weeks, and returned home 2 weeks ago from Iowa helping out with the floods. I have traveled quite a bit, and enjoy being able to do so. I travel back to Ambler often during the school year, and spend the summers here at home. Traveling back home as often as I do, I will now be able to see my good friends that I lost touch with over the years, but recently reconnected with, Peggy, Lynne, Bari, & Linda. Sadly we lost the 6th member of our group my sister-in-law and your classmate Betsy Grimes Thomas recently. Betsy passed away May 30. She was married to my older brother Paul, and they have two amazing boys. Greg who is vice-president at a bank, and in school going for his masters, and Ryan who is in his third year teaching, and works at Fort Washington Elem. school, and is also going for his masters. They have both just recently purchased their first homes, and Betsy was able to see them accomplish that, and many other things. She and my brother were married for 29 years, lived in the same house in Ft. Washington all that time, and worked in Spring House for the last 12 years. Betsy was a good sister-in-law and friend, and I will truly miss her. Since she couldn't update her info I thought I would do it for her. I hope that you enjoyed reading both of ours. |

I've had such a delightful time checking in with you all...nice work on the site and reunion gusto!I will miss having a blast with you... and you will; I'm sure of that!....but looking forward to hearing about it; maybe seeing some pics..(hint, hint) I am loving life..happy, healthy, grateful for the moment. it's still...Peace and Love Karen 2023 update: High school - 50 years - what an incredible journey it's been. As I look over the list of classmates who are no longer with us, I think of each of them. There are standouts - Nina Light and Francis Stahlecker. Two very different people; one endured tremendous difficulty, the other was exactly her last name. Both of them were courageous women. Paul Hoifjeld was so freaking intellegent I W I S H I paid better attention. I think I had a crush on Jack Szabo, and Stephanie Hahn & Gail Platt were drop d gorgeous. Everyone of us has life that is quite a story - I wish we could all share the deets, After all, 4 years walking those halls is a lot of time spent together. Formative time. Cheers to the years ☕ |

My husband, Bruce, and I have been living in Lower Gwynedd for 12 years. I have had the wonderful privilege of being a homemaker/stay-at-home-mom. Over the years, I have enjoyed a variety of volunteer positions, several of which I've been called upon to use the skills I acquired while getting my B.A. in Art. Bruce is in Sales and Marketing at Merck, and we are also owners of nine Planet Fitness franchises in Florida, with continuing expansion planned.
We have two amazing daughters. Our oldest daughter, Jennifer, her husband Dennis, and our two grandsons, Jack and William, live in Buckingham. Jenn and Dennis met while at Villanova, where she received a B.A. and M.A. Dennis is also in Sales and Marketing at Merck.
Our younger daughter, Stephanie, received her B.S. in photography from Drexel in June and is currently attending Teachers College Columbia University for her M.A. in Art Education.
I recently lost one of my dearest friends, our classmate, Betsy Grimes Thomas. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Hello, all! Many thanks to those of you who have created and are maintaining this website. It's well done, and a wonderful wealth of information about our classmates.I was unable to attend the 2009 reunion because we were away, but am looking forward to the next one. Since High School....hmmm...college, working, raising kids, getting divorced, getting remarried, gaining more kids (we have 2 and 2!)...wrote a book, started two businesses, dealt with family illnesses and deaths...all that took about 38 years, I suppose. I'm living in Upper Gwynedd (yes, I'm one of those people who never moved far away), and looking forward to catching up with many of you. |

Hello classmates, it is truly wonderful to find that so many friends from high school have done so well. After graduation I bounced around to a few different colleges and finally graduated from Bloomsburg state. While there I met my future wife (Mary) with whom I've had two children, Michael and Linda both now grown. For the last 30 years I've been teaching physical science in the Annville school district near Hershey Pa. I've also been teaching some graduate courses at a college nearby called Lebanon Valley College. During my first years of teaching, the district didn't have much money so I started a hobby of building my own science equipment. This eventually worked out well in that I've ended up patenting and selling a number of ideas to science supply companies. After a while I dabbled in business a bit and designed a few science toys that we sell through our own small company. My activities in this area eventually led to getting a book published on ideas for teaching physics (Yikes, I've turned into Mr. Hoffmaster) I'm now working on a follow-up. Life has been interesting; one of my recent amusements has been to enter the world of building catapults to throw pumpkins as far a possible (why?? who knows). We entered a 30 foot tall catapult in the National Punkin Chunkin contest held in Delaware recently and threw an 8 lb pumpkin over 750 feet. On a more serious note, I've become involved with producing educational materials to be used in the country of Haiti, the schools there have nothing and anything we can offer is greatly appreciated. I still enjoy teaching, (my wife claims it's because I get to play with so many toys) and plan to do so as long as I can. Thank you Beverly, Hope, and Seth for organizing all of this and hope to see as many as possible at our reunion.

It has been a fantastic walk down memory lane reading everyone's comments and updates. I hope to catch up with as many people as I can prior to the reunion. So, where exactly did the last 35 years go? For me, 7 years at Purdue University (in the middle of the cornfields and hogs), another 7 years in Indianapolis working for Eli Lilly, an extended honeymoon in Asia and a few years living in Taiwan where my daughter Lauren was born, and then a move to Seattle, where I've been for about 17 years. My life seems to work around the number 7 which my Chinese fortune teller told me was my lucky number! That and the number 3. (How interesting that when we combine the two : '73) My husband Clay is an attorney and my daughter will be a sophomore at UCLA. Somehow she was athletically gifted (certainly did not get it from her mother as she is quick to point out) and life was always a series of practices, soccer games, and swim meets. Thankfully, the swimming lead to a position on the UCLA team. As for me, I am currently taking a break from working now that Lauren is off to college. It doesn't really make sense, but taking time out to refresh the brain and retool my career does make sense. As we all head into what may be the final leg of our work life, it is imperative that we are doing work that is enjoyable, stimulating, and fun!!! We want to leave the world knowing that we've contributed, right? So, after working in finance, inventory management, purchasing, sales, marketing, international business, consulting, PR, and communications, I'd like to combine those skills and do.... oh who knows? If anyone has a suggestion, email me! I could use the advice! Hope everyone is in good health and good spirits. I look forward to seeing you all in the near future. XXOO!!

My life has been a dream come true. My wife, Sue Kane (class of '74), has the patience of Job and brings a peace that I longed for while I was growing up. I think that's why I was such a difficult person to get along with as a child ... and teenager ... and adult - I needed an anchor. Someone to love me unconditionally. I am a happy and lucky man.
